Enhanced ECommerce allows tracking of Product Impressions, Promotions, and sales data to be sent with any of your relevant page-views and events. It can be used to help you track Product Impressions and product purchases and use events such as checkout steps and product clicks to better your marketing strategy or simply to help you calculate engagement and growth.

Enhanced eCommerce analytics gives you insights in the form of reports, metrics, and dimensions about user interactions. It tells you how users interact with your product regarding its branding, promotion, and sales data.
For instance, if you want to find the average order value, you can see it under the "Overview" section. You can quickly implement enhanced eCommerce in Google Analytics by using Google Tag Manager. Before you implement it, you need to understand the data types and actions in the section.
