There are many key points for customer retention, here's a few:
Your customer retention rate (number you keep over time)
Customer churn rate (number you lose over time)
Revenue churn rate (amount you lose over time)
Customer revenue growth rate (cash flow increases over time)
Repeat purchase ratios
Daily, Weekly and Monthly active user totals
